This week’s cast is about adaptations. One of the biggest concerns when your favorite book is made into a movie is “Will this movie do the book justice?”. Ben and Matt will discuss some of their favorite and most hated film adaptations. Good books made in to bad movies? We talk about them. Bad books made in to good movies? We hit those too. Twilight? Yeah, we go there. After listening to this episode, you will know what Ben’s Gollum impression sounds like, Stephen King’s 1 Dollar policy, and how Ben’s brush with fame lead to his buddy’s girlfriend going home with another guy.
And stay tuned next week for our first ever celebrity interview! Plus, in the coming weeks, interviews from Texas, including the breakout star of the untitled new Terrence Malick film, James E. “Hoot” Gibson!
So sit back and relax listening to soothing sounds of Ben and Matt in this week’s edition of THE NEW WAY PODCAST WITH BEN AND MATT!

Ben, why don't you like the film Sphere? And thank you for not going through with the Gollum voice answer. It would have been really really awkward and creepy in not a cool way. Yikes!
I haven't read the Hunger Games books, so when I watched the movie I was sooooooo angry at Katniss for being such a passive protagonist. She really doesn't do anything. Most of her problems were solved for her.
I nearly lost my mind when she refused to use her archery skills in the game, especially when she could have shot an arrow to set off the mines and destroy her enemies that took her friend, right? Also, the use of FOUR massive hound dogs to attack them at the end really annoyed me. But I had some friends explain some of the book to me and I understood some of her choices and story's purpose. Still I was annoyed.
Anywhoo, good times.
