John-Arthur Ingram was one of Last Pint’s competitors in the Storyboard TV pilot contest. His pilot, The Belt, was one of the “step above the rest” pilots in the competition. He is a unique writer with a great gift for balancing a large cast of easily identifiable characters. Last Pint Productions is proud to have his ear as we continue to write new material. John will be one of our guests on The New Way Podcast.
John was a typical military brat. Born on an Air Force Base in Manila, Philippines and was able to travel everywhere.
Six Feet Under and Nip/Tuck were the catalysts for him to eventually pursue writing for Film/TV.
He has a BA in English Literature and attempted grad school for Creative Writing at CSU Northridge, then quit to take a semester at Moorpark College in their Film/TV department. From there, he jumped into every film production he could find; from a indie features to web shows.
Five feature screenplays and six television scripts later, he had fallen in love with the Film/TV storytelling medium and continues to write and do freelance work as an Assistant Director and Production Manager. However, writing/producing for TV his the main goal.
John’s accolades include being a finalist in the Storyboard TV Pilot Contest 2013, and making it to the 2nd Round of the Page International Screenwriting Contest 2012.
